THE POWER OF SURRENDER

All problems and sufferings are caused by fear. And fear is caused by separation from the Oneness of God or the All. We created a false identity (personality) that is separate from the All. And this identity feels scared, insecure and unloved. It is always in a state of want. It wants security. It wants things. It wants love. And it is always afraid to die. So, in fact, our fear of death is not the fear of the death of our physical body. It is the fear of the death of our personality.

And our problem is not illness, poverty or loneliness. Our only problem is fear. To live in fear is not to live; it is to die at each moment.

How do we then return to our true identity? An identity that is love, truth, peace, wholeness and abundance. How do we return with our Father who is the source of all life and power.

There is only one way. It is by surrendering to the All. Jesus said: "I AM" the way, "I AM" the door. "I AM" the Light. "I AM" the Life. He did not mean the person but the universal Presence of "I AM". The One Mind or Consciousness that has no opposites. In Truth, that IS the only identity. All other identities are illusions or concepts of mind.

The One Mind or Consciousness has no enemies. It is perfectly whole. It is the source and substance of all that is manifested. If we could return and become ONE with Consciousness, our fear would dissolve and be transformed into Love.

When we understand that we are One with the Whole, we know that all our enemies must be self-created. As soon as we declare, I am fighting my enemy, my poverty, my disease, my pain, we are feeding our enemy and giving away our energy.

Here is an analogy. Let us suppose that you are standing on railway tracks and you see the train coming at you. If you resist the train, you are sure to suffer and die! Now, what is a more intelligent course to take? What if you could jump aboard the train as the train gets close to you? This is what happens when you surrender to the pain.  When you are aboard the train or when you and the train make ONE, there can be no suffering. This is what happens when you surrender to the pain; the pain dissolves in the Oneness.

We think we are smarter than Infinite Intelligence. We think we are more powerful than Omnipotent Consciousness. We think we know more than Omniscient Love. We think we can do more than the All functioning power of God. What is keeping the planets in motion? Who is guding and feeding all the animal and vegetable kingdoms? What is keeping our body alive? Do we breathe consciously? What foolishness? How arrogant is our personal ego? Jesus said: "I, of mine own self can do nothing. The Father within, He doeth the works"

Until we realize that we can do nothing, we are still living in illusion. And we continue to suffer.

When we surrender to God, we realign our being with the harmony of the universe and everything becomes effortless. Why was life such a struggle? It is because we were trying to move against the universal current of Being. The universe is unfolding without our help or interference. We just have to play our part and live in the present moment. In fact, what we must do at the present moment is always obvious if we are awake and present.

Therefore, our true power comes from our power to surrender. We must be willing to surrender to God at every moment. By surrendering to the All, we let the power of life flow through our being and we can heal. By surrendering to the Oneness of God, we let the flow of abundance into our life and then abundance manifests as all that we need. By surrendering to the Ocean of Love, we become a conduit where Love can flow and heal the world.

FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT

We are on an eternal journey to God. And God is All Light, All Awareness, All Truth, All Wisdom, All Grace and All Love. The closer we are to God and the more we are conjoined with Him, the more contented and Peaceful we are. The farther away we are from God, the more miserable and confused we are. 

So, the spiritual journey is a journey from the spiritual darkness of ignorance and fear to the spiritual Light and warmth of Truth and LOve.
