Believe it or not, we are addicted to suffering. Why? This is where we have gotten our sense of identity for millions years. But it is a false identity, an identity that is separated from God or Reality. In order to return to the reality of Oneness, we must surrender our false identity and our suffering. When we are selfish, self-righteous and ignorant, we continue to suffer and cause others to suffer.

The Truth is that God is infinitely Good and He creates this universe of freedom to realize His Love and Wisdom.

The Truth is that the discordance that is in the world and in our own self is the result of human freedom. Some human beings freely choose to think and behave egotistically or they do not want to make the effort to change. They choose to learn by means of suffering. They would rather suffer than admit that they are ignorant and selfish. The personal ego is so self-righteous that it prefers to be right and remain in hell, than to surrender its false beliefs and enter the freedom and joy of Heaven. But Truth and Goodness can only be realized freely and willingly. We must freely surrender our suffering and false identity.

The only way we learn is by experience. Suffering teaches us the consequences of going against the Divine Purpose while Heavenly joy teaches us the benefits of being forgiving, creative, useful, merciful and loving.

There are six billion human beings on Earth trying to do what is wise and loving and to live respectable lives. But, in the media, we only hear about those few hundred human beings whose intentions and acts are selfish, self-righteous, perverted or cruel. This is because those who choose to remain ignorant and selfish are also arrogant and they always seek attention while the wise are meek and silent. Therefore we should not judge the universe by appearances.

  Now let us turn back to the Kingdom's way of healing. One evening as I was about to go out to keep an appointment, the telephone rang. I took down the receiver and a man's voice spoke. He stated who he was and said: "I have attended your meetings several times with my wife, and now we are calling on you for help. My wife has been given up by the doctors, and I am afraid she will not live through the night. I wish you could come over at once." Considering the urgent need, I consented. When I reached there, I was ushered into the sick room where a woman was lying helpless on her bed. She was very weak, breathing very low; yet she was fully conscious of my presence. In fact, she manifested joy at seeing me. In a faint voice she said: "I know that you can help me—you are a man from God, I do not want to pass out." I replied: "You do not have to. Try to grasp the idea of your eternal perfection in the Kingdom, You are not going to be well; you are well right now, because you have forever been well. Try to see yourself as you are in the Kingdom, and act and move according to that vision of yourself." Immediately she was much relieved and her consciousness was lifted. In a clear tone she asked: "Do you mean to say that if I recognize this eternal fact and act upon it, I will have no difficulty in finding my strength?" "Yes," I answered. Thereupon she tried to sit up in her bed, and succeeded after a little effort.She asked for a glass of water, which she drank with much relish. Then, leaning on her pillow, she turned to me and said: "I believe you. I have already discovered that your principle works. I feel better. I feel hungry, too; may I eat some bread and milk?" I nodded my head in assent. After she had eaten, she felt still more improved. With a few words of further encouragement, I left her. Next morning when my telephone rang, to my surprise I heard the voice of my patient, which was almost normal. She told me that she was up and that she could walk a little. In ten days she was able to come to see me. This is one of the marvellous demonstrations of Truth. (A. K. Mozumdar)

ABSOLUTE REALITY MEDITATION

  This world that seems about us, this world of change, of birth and death is but a cinema. a dream world with no more reality than the world that is depicted on the movie screen. The world of reality is the world of perfection, of charm and beauty, of love and glory, of peace and plenty, of changelessness and eternal joy. When we fix our vision upon this perfect world, it seems as though it springs right out into view, right into and out of this mental world that is seen about us, so that the birds are more wonderful to us, the flowers are more beautiful and all living things take on a grander glow; the same as while one is looking at a picture on the screen and another seems to come right out of it or into it, another of contrasting glory and charm. True manifestation is not created. Mental creation proceeds from mind instead of Spirit. Truth being ALL there is, creation then is only in the world of appearance, the world of imagination, and as such is impermanent, unreal. The perfect world which is the reflection of Truth is not a creation, but like Truth is unborn, unending. It is in the world of creation, the cinema world that disease has appearance, healing and disappearance; that people are born and die. None of these changes take place in the true world or heaven, and their happenings are like any dream, for there can be nothing but changeless Reality. Now, it is this perception that is needed - this perception of the allness and the oneness of Truth, the allness and totality of Self, of Life, of Intelligence and the nothingness of all else. SUBSTANCE MEDITATION

This is a fact that you should impress upon your understanding-that a thought held in thinking substance is a real thing; a form, and has actual existence, although it is not visible to you. THOUGHT MEDITATION

  When we come to see that Thought is a force - a manifestation of energy - having a magnet-like power of attraction, we will begin to understand the why and wherefore of many things that have heretofore seemed dark to us. There is no study that will so well repay the student for his time and trouble as the study of the workings of this mighty law of the world of Thought - the Law of Attraction.  .....We are sending out thoughts of greater or less intensity all the time, and we are reaping the results of such thoughts. Not only do our thought waves influence ourselves and others, but they have a drawing power - they attract to us the thoughts of others, things, circumstances, people, "luck," in accord with the character of the thought uppermost in our minds. Thoughts of Love will attract to us the Love of others; circumstances and surroundings in accord with the thought; people who are of like thought. Thoughts of Anger, Hate, Envy, Malice and Jealousy will draw to us the foul brood of kindred thoughts emanating from the minds of others; circumstances in which we will be called upon to manifest these vile thoughts and will receive them in turn from others; people who will manifest inharmony; and so on. A strong thought or a thought long continued, will make us the center of attraction for the corresponding thought waves of others. Likeattracts like in the Thought World - as ye sow so shall ye reap. Birds of a feather flock together in the Thought World - curses like chickens come home to roost, and bringing their friends with them.The man or woman who is filled with Love sees Love on all sides and attracts the Love of others. The man with hate in his heart gets all the Hate he can stand. The man who thinks Fight generally runs up against all the Fight he wants before he gets through. And so it goes, each gets what he calls for over the wireless telegraphy of the Mind. The man who rises in the morning feeling "grumpy" usually manages to have the whole family in the same mood before the breakfast is over. The "nagging" woman generally finds enough to gratify her "nagging" propensity during the day.This matter of Thought Attraction is a serious one. When you stop to think of it you will see that a man really makes his own surroundings, although he blames others for it. I have known people who understood this law to hold a positive, calm thought and be absolutely unaffected by the inharmony surrounding them. They were like the vessel from which the oil had been poured on the troubled waters - they rested safely and calmly whilst the tempest raged around them. One is not at the mercy of the fitful storms of Thought after he has learned the workings of the Law. (William Atkinson)

RELEASING MEDITATION

Love eliminates fear. Love eliminates anxiety.

Peace is non-resistance, complete acceptance, identification with all, everyone, everything.

What is joy? Joy is nothing but the Self. When desires are fulfilled, the mind is stilled. This allows the Self to shine forth and that is what we call joy.

The way to infinite joy is through the elimination of desire, -- no attachments, no aversions.

All minds are interconnected. Otherwise they could not understand each other.

The facade is the ego. It is motivated by our seeking love. The only reward is frustration, as it is only by loving that one finds love.

Love is a feeling of givingness with no thought of receiving any return for it.

Whatever happens to us originates in the mind.

Truth can be found by a process of eliminating wrong thoughts, which are thoughts of limitation. When all thoughts of limitation are eliminated, what remains is our natural, unlimited, Self.

People need each other and think it is love. There's no hanging on to, or fencing in, of the other one when one loves.

There's nothing bad; there's just making errors on the way back Home.

There's no such thing as a mistake---we do it! There's no such thing as an accident---we do it!.

Don't probe darkness to understand light. Don't dwell on sickness to be healthy. Don't indulge in thoughts of lack to have supply. (Lester Levenson)
